The journey from engineering roots to designing experiences
Hello Paris ! Outgrowing the comfort zone
2022 to date

After more than five years practicing UX and Design in Tunisia, I began to feel that the local market could no longer match the level of impact I aspired to achieve. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to consult for leading international brands across diverse industries — helping them elevate their digital experiences and design maturity.
Transition to UX Design
2016
During a Mozilla event in Toronto, I had an encounter that changed my future forever — the Mozilla UX Unicorns. They introduced me to their work and to the universe of User Experience and Human-Centered Design. It all suddenly made sense — the bridge between my technical background and my creative drive. I found the missing piece that connected how things work with how people experience them, and I knew this was the path I wanted to follow.
Mozilla
2012 - 2018

In 2012, I joined the Mozilla Foundation as a community contributor — locally, regionally, and globally. I had the opportunity to contribute to amazing projects like Firefox and Firefox OS, and to take part in inspiring community events around the world.
University, Computer Science and FOSS
2009 - 2016

I began my academic journey studying computer science in high school and later at university, where I became active in FOSS clubs and associations. Being a creative surrounded by engineers and developers who focused solely on making things work highlighted the need for someone who could understand — and explain — how things should work. I eventually realized I had been practicing a form of UX long before I even knew the term existed.
IS THAT A COMPUTER ?!
2004
Like many people my age, I’ll never forget the day my parents got me my first computer : a Fujitsu Siemens Scenic 661 that worked barely half the time. But the vivid memory that stuck with me is staying up late, trying to recreate the GTA 2 map in MS Paint, pixel by pixel, at 16× zoom.
A curious kid
I was that kid who annoys adults with questions, practicing the "5 why's" since a young age but thankful for having a patient and intelligent father who was never tired to explain to me things. I broke almost every toy I had, either to undetstand how it works or trying to make it better, unsuccessful almost everytime.
